Today astrologically is an important day, when Saturn enters the sign of Aquarius. Last 2 and half years Saturn was in Capricorn, the sign ruled by Saturn related to authority and governing bodies. Saturn symbolizes a serious patriarch. In personal charts it shows us the areas of limitations but also a space for growth. When we are afraid of power, then it comes from the outside to rule us, when we harness the power from the within, it serves us - that is a transformation power of this archetype.
In a long term Saturn entering Aquarius may shift the power from the authority to people, in a short run it may look like the opposite, especially to those who wants to be ruled as Saturn always initially brings the limitations and the control. Many astrologers see the coming conjunction between Saturn and Jupiter as the gateway to the new era of Aquarius, seeing many other strong aspects this year and the end of the long counts in many ancient calendars.
