About the Event
Join us for a beautiful soulful time for your body & soul. Time in which your mind may just let go and dive into the experience of Sat – Chit – Ananada - a mantra which can be translated as Truth- Sat, Awareness-Chit and Bliss-Ananda.
It is a widely known term in yogic philosophy which we may bring more and more into our daily awareness and this will be a purpose of this workshop, to understand, practice and experience hints, moments, sensations of its true meaning.
The definition from www.yogapedia.com of each word can be deeper described as :
Sat – truth, absolute being or existence – that which is enduring and unchanging
Chit – consciousness, understanding and comprehension
Ananda – bliss, a state of pure happiness, joy and sensual pleasure
Some believe that the true state of Sat - Chit - Ananada is available permanently only to a few enlightened beings, yogis and gurus. This description however creates a separation, between us and some better them. Many of us collectively may indeed not be able to live in a permanent bliss, however, think how amazing it would be! For me sometimes it feels easy, especially while practising Shakti Dance or similar modality, like meditation, walking in nature, swimming, love making or any practice really which allows us to calm down the mind and be open for the pure experience of bliss and awareness.
To me as a teacher and a student of yoga it is the best definition for what Shakti Dance can offer, it is a tool to Sat - Chit - Ananda in the playful, yogic, dancing, flowing way, connecting our awareness and authenticity with the body, mind and soul.
Shakti Dance - the yoga of dance, is a very fluid, poetic practice, when reality and visions come together, when we can embody who we truly are and who we are becoming. During the workshops we will use the principles of the Shakti Dance session, rooted in the kundalini yoga practice and free self-expression, with sections for yoga stretches, group dance, free dance, relaxation, meditation and chanting.
